How it Ships

While we pride ourselves on low free shipping thresholds to most of the planet, what we really stand for is minimal packaging.

Every product that ships out goes out in the minimum amount of packaging required to get the items to their destination safely and securely. No more, no less.

Materials

The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

Our Case Design

Meticulously designed to protect your phone from drops and scratches as well as any traditional plastic case. Precision cuts around speakers, charger, volume and power buttons.

Carefully designed wrap around edges to protect the front of your phone. Smooth to the touch, flexible with no extra bulk.

Winner design
This is my second pair of Cocos, because I was in love when I got my first pair. The lavender color is fun and unique. These are comfy and they make me feel awesome. I love it that I’ll be able to compost them in the long-term future when these reach the end of their life.

WOW!!! Pela really outdid themselves with their sunglasses 🎉! Besides being compostable and having a gorgeous cat eye style, they come in a cute box (minimum 30% post-consumer materials which of course is also compostable!!) and a drawstring cloth sleeve/bag to keep them in. Love them and will probably buy other styles in the future!!! Love the cat eye style, that the lens is a dark shade (wasn’t sure they would be dark enough) and the cute message inside the box 🥰. Excellent choice of sunglasses 🙌🏼!!!
