I am so excited to announce our ambassador program!
Here at Pela we have a mission to create a world without waste, to remove 1 billion pounds of plastic from the waste stream, and we can't do it without your help.
Our ambassador program is a bit different from an average ambassador program.
Most ambassador programs are focused on pushing product. Which is cool. I mean we LOVE our phone cases, but our mission goes a bit deeper.
We want so much more, we want to give you the tools to create actual change in your community, your town, your campus, and with your followers.
We want to help you live a more eco-friendly lifestyle and help you help others.
We can't world alone; we have to do it together.
I love this quote by Margaret Mead which says, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
Each month there's a new theme. Last month was bees where we asked our ambassadors to share information with their followers about bees to raise awareness on ways that we can support bee populations.
Did you know one-third of all the food we consume is pollinated by bees? Or that it takes eight bees their entire lifetime to make one teaspoon of honey?
Bees are super important to our food and ecosystems, but they're in decline. In 2015, 42 percent of bee colonies collapsed in the United States alone.
And, while we normally think about honey bees there are 4,000 species of native bees in North America with many of them in danger like the rusty-patched bumble bee.
We wrote a whole blog post on 5 Ways to Save the Bees, but if you were in our ambassador program, you would learn even more and equipped with graphics, facts, and tips on how to inspire your followers to live a more bee-friendly life!
We have some really exciting themes coming up. I'm most looking forward to food waste month!
Food waste is a huge problem and we talked about it quite a bit in this post The Foodies Guide to Saving the World.
So, if you're ready to use your platforms for saving the world, we'd love to help! Check out the Ambassador Program.
