How it Ships

While we pride ourselves on low free shipping thresholds to most of the planet, what we really stand for is minimal packaging.

Every product that ships out goes out in the minimum amount of packaging required to get the items to their destination safely and securely. No more, no less.

Materials

The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

Our Case Design

Meticulously designed to protect your phone from drops and scratches as well as any traditional plastic case. Precision cuts around speakers, charger, volume and power buttons.

Carefully designed wrap around edges to protect the front of your phone. Smooth to the touch, flexible with no extra bulk.

Bought for my iphone 6S a LOOONG time ago
I think I read that this case is only supposed to last about two years. I’ve had my honey bee bee edition for about four years now and it’s just starting to fall apart which is fine because after nine years it’s probably time for a new phone anyway. Since I got my Pela case, this phone has been dropped, kicked, thrown by a toddler more than once, shoved, smooshed and otherwise abused and there has not been a scratch, ding, dent, or crack on this old phone. I’m probably jinxing myself my writing that but it’s the truth. I couldn’t recommend Pela case more. Whatever new device I choose, I will most DEFINITELY be getting a Pela case (or two) to go with it! It’s the best case out there.
And now, I’m going out to my garden to compost this little fella and I feel good about that too!

It doesn’t get any better
This is the most adorable and most functional phone case I’ve ever bought! It’s strong against drops, a wonderful material for holding in my hand or putting in my jean pockets, and the design makes me smile. Plus the fact that it’s made of recycled materials is the icing on the cake!
