Materials

The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

Our Case Design

Meticulously designed to protect your phone from drops and scratches as well as any traditional plastic case. Precision cuts around speakers, charger, volume and power buttons.

Carefully designed wrap around edges to protect the front of your phone. Smooth to the touch, flexible with no extra bulk.

Beautiful case!
I was looking for a sustainable phone case option and recall seeing something similar in Bon Appetite magazine that was yellow honeycomb so I search the internet and Pela came up right away. The environmentally conscious story behind the brand sold me instantly. When the case arrived, it was even prettier in real life! I didn't realize the mushroom pattern is etched into the material! Gives it such an elevated look and feel. Will definitely buy my future cases from Pela.
