How it Ships
Materials
The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

Nice phone case
The color of this case is a dirty mustard color, something I was not prepared for. I thought it was going to be brighter from the picture. Other than that, I am happy with it.

Sustainable and Safe for your Phone
I think the biggest concern from most people that hesitate with pela phone cases that I’ve heard is that it won’t protect the phone. It absolutely does! I’m super clumsy and drop my phone all the time. I’ve had a pela case for years and I’ve never had any issues. So glad to support a sustainable company that works!
I like it
I love the color and the bees! It’s is speckled and not solid yellow but that doesn’t bother me. It’s thin and does not make the phone bulky. I’m curious to see how long it will hold up before needing to be replaced.

In addition to being the most sustainable phone cases I’ve seen, they’re also very nice looking and also work great. I’ve definitely dropped my phone or had it fall off seats and tables, and I’ve never cracked or messed up my phone at all. They have a great texture too and I like that I can ship them back to be properly composted
Greatest Case Ever
I bought a Pela Case back in 2017 for my iPhone 8 Plus. It was the only case I needed for the 3 years I had my phone!! It’s just like any other case except cooler and better for the planet. It has great protection (you should still use a screen protector). The warranty on a Pela case is 1 year but I had mine 2.5 years until I got a little tear. At that pointed, I needed a new phone too (haha). It’s definitely worth the money, and you’re doing good for the planet!! I just bought a new Pela case for my 13 pro max! (Pictures are of my case after 3 years of use)
Beautiful case…but
The case is absolutely beautiful , well made and such a lovely design. The only thing I was disappointed in was you pay a premium for a pela case as you are buying a plastic free biodegradable case. So I was extremely disappointed that it was posted to me in a cardboard envelope but with a plastic bag stuck on the outside with the invoice in it! Come on guys you can do better. Just put the invoice inside the cardboard envelope surely!

Lovely designs, good protection
This is my second Pela case and I absolutely love the feel and design of the cases. I have a toddler at home so my phone gets tossed around A LOT and so far the protection has been great. My first Pela case broke just above where you plug in the charger (iPhone 8 Plus) so my only suggestion for improvement would be to somehow make that part a little bit thicker? Otherwise I'm very happy with my new case. Thanks a lot!

I absolutely love this case, the colour is super cute and trendy and the pattern is very aesthetic. This case lasted me about a year and a half through LOTS of rough wear and tear and daily use (of course). I'm ordering my second pela case now and am excited to compost my old one in the spring!
